Portal Update Guidelines
Points to Be Observed by Portal Administrators:
These items are compiled based on SEO indicators and website ranking improvement tips in search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Alexa.
1. Title
Choose a descriptive title of 5 to 8 words that includes the main keywords of your site. The title is the first element users encounter in search engines. Note that Persian words in Unicode format are recognized by Google. Place the most important keywords of your site at the beginning of the title.
When entering a title, observe the following:
Include keywords related to the page content and its images.
Do not use commas.
Ensure grammatical correctness; avoid mere word combinations.
Do not use words prohibited by search engines.
When inserting images and links, обязательно fill in the title field. The ALT tag allows alternative text to appear if the image fails to load.
2. Description Tag
Provide a description of 25 to 30 words. This text appears below the URL in search engine results. Write a description that clearly reflects your site’s content.
3. Mutual communication
- Search engines, especially Google, are sensitive to the number of links to your site and factor it into your site's ranking.
- Create a useful links page and link to similar sites to yours, especially sites that rank well in search engines.
- Ask other sites to link to your site.
4. Footer Insertion Tips
- Make sure to update your website footer. Follow a consistent format such as:

- Phone: (include area code)
- Email: must be from the lmo.ir domain

Use standard software that supports Persian fonts for PDF conversion.
PDF text must be searchable using Acrobat’s internal search tools.
8. File Size
Uploaded files should be compressed and under 30 MB in size.
9. Use of Tags
Use heading (h) tags to help search engines better understand content structure.
- Do not use the same heading tag more than twice per page.
- Use headings only for important titles, not for entire page text.
10. Contact Page
Some search engines, especially Yahoo, may not list your site without a postal address.
- Provide a complete postal address (a PO Box alone is insufficient).
- Include phone numbers and department addresses.

11. Language
The primary language of all portals is Persian. The homepage and main entry page must load in Persian. In multilingual portals, language switching must be available on all pages.
