The Organization for Renovation, Development and Equipment of Schools of the country was established on the fourth of Khordad 1354 with the approval of Parliament in order to construct, develop, repair and renovate school buildings under the Ministry of Education, provide their required facilities and equipment, and determine appropriate criteria and standards for the equipment of said schools.

The duties of the School Renovation Organization of the country are as follows:

• Carrying out necessary studies for the establishment of schools in different regions of the country considering changes occurring in demographic, economic and social issues
• Reviewing and preparing school building plans in each region according to climatic conditions
• Preparing programs for school buildings – constructing school facilities and developing, repairing and renovating existing schools
• Providing required facilities and equipment and determining appropriate criteria and standards for school equipment

The Zanjan Province General Directorate of Renovation, Development and Equipment of Schools, as the specialized body for construction of educational and nurturing spaces in the province, employing educated and specialized personnel in study and design, continuously supervising implementation of construction projects and maintaining ongoing quality control, is actively and properly engaged, and through the Technical and Executive plays an active and worthy role in the sacred mission of school building
